Our History
If you've been on these pages you know that The Guardian originated in World of Warcraft. Since I happened through photos today on one of my projects and happened across this little gem I'd share it. Its the first banner I ever made for the first website I created for The Guardians of Warsong. Enjoy!
Player Spotlight: Saving Grace@fayeclas
One of our very first recruits when Aly and Thow rejoined Neverwinter was our very own Sunshine Lollipop I mean Saving Grace (she changed her name). Our tough as nails pretty as a picture paly has been through a lot in this guild, dragging us all behind her. She enjoys main-tanking and can bring Valindra down on her very own (ask us how we know!)
Always helpful and full of teasing fun, (especially aimed at Susan/Magnus) Milli has a strong competitive streak and is continually upgrading her gear to be the "leetest." Taking Lelithh under her wing has not gone unnoticed and we just want to let her know we appreciate her playing with us.

The Cloak of the Guardian
If you want to show your guild pride don the "Official Cloak of the Guardian" (Bought in Underdark) dyed with the Dragonslayer's Dye Pack (They are in the Guild Bank... I bought all I could afford.) Check out Magnus's, Thow's or Aly's at your convenience!
Epic Moments: Sunshine Vs. Valindra
Never let it be said that a Guardian doesn't have heart. Running with a full 5 man crew, Sunshine, Alyah, Thowdran, Magnus, and Kaio-Ken took to Valindra. It was Magnus and Kaio's first run, and we demolished the trash in in record time, coming to face the evil undead queen herself, yet again, but red and purple is no Guardian's friend, and we all were defeated a few times.
But it was Sunshine Lollipop's epic-ness that brought us again to a victory over the undead queen. Caught by the second wave of the "dance party" as we affectionately call it, Sunshine was the only woman standing at the 20% mark. Over voice chat, she asked if she should let herself wipe. But we all cheered her on and said "go for it!" Thinking surely the black winged monster would take our on sweet Sunshine down after a few moments... BUT NO! Slowly and steadily her life meter dropped from four bars to three, Milli playing epically kiting the full pop of her add-wrath, pounding her holy blade into the evil witch. Over voice we're cracking jokes and talking her epic-ness. Mag literally starts autorunning into a corner and goes to help his wife make dinner! Milli pulls her headphones off as to not be distracted and pounds her down. Three bubbles, two! Slow and steady! Mag comes back from dinner, we're all silent and in awe. Half a bubble, a quarter bubble, BOOM Gone!
Milli picks up her mic, "My hands are shaking!" Cheers erupt! Our first official full guild vs. Valindra drop! Woohoo! Way to go Sunshine Lollipop!

Epic Moments: First (through fifth!)Fight with Valindra
It was Scott, Milli, and Aly on our epic first "guild" run. We charged in with some random GWF and CW, clearing trash quickly and efficiently, albeit with the GWF attempting to tank at every turn. We reached the skeletal, white floating haired Valindra, and as was par for the course thus far, our "friend" the GWF charged in to attempt to tank. It was an epic failure, everyone was caught in the first round of red "X's" and purple ghosts. Apparently this wasn't what the CW wanted, and she dropped, being replaced with a no-name, Warlock, who was geared as spectacularly as the three Guildies. (all sub 8,000 iL!)
The second round, however was going a smidgeon better, but the GWF, Lock, and our very own Thowdran got killed by the quickly-mounting adds (did you know you had to clear those coffin things? WE DIDN'T!)
Attempting to communicate with the two "pugs" we had proved futile however, and the third round we lost our DPS again, leaving Milli and Aly with 1/3 health left on Valindra, after nearly 5 minutes of fighting tooth and nail the two decided they just didn't have the damage, being a Tank and Healer, to finish it out and let Valindra kill them. At this point the GWF said, "good riddance" and dropped out, being replaced by a CW.
The fourth wipe was 100% Aly's fault, she was thrust directly into a wall by the red X and we lost 2 DPSers, trying to get her up.
The fifth round we all decided was 100% about add control, we let Milli charge in and tank Valindra, and Scott, Aly, and the CW (did we mention the Lock was really not communicating well...oh and that she died at Val's 3/4 life this run too?) ran around and boomed the caskets. Valindra was going down though, the adds were under control. We made it through the first round of X's and purple ghosts. Valindra's down to 3 bubbles and does her second round of the X's and ghosts and (as we all know now) they go much faster, and she caught our tank, leaving Thow, our CW, and Aly up. Luckily, the adds all drop with the Xs and ghosts. Thow is tanking this beast, as well as he can, and we're throwing all we have at it, when of course the caskets rise from the earth! Thow can't tank them all so Aly starts her kiting run, carrying every one of the adds she can around the very edge. Milli's calling through the mic, "You have 6 now Aly, keep running go!" And Aly's runnin her little heart out, and oh-crap, she's out of pots! Run run run, electric slide, drop a divinity-no-cast heal, run run run. Scott and the CW have Valindra down to one bubble, Scott knows he can take this Bitch down! He goes into all out mode just as another series of caskets is rising, her final bubble drops down to 1/4 and she smacks him with something - we're still unsure what - and down the smartass-sweet-talking halfling rogue goes.
Its Aly and the CW vs a sliver of life (not even a full bub!) Valindra. The caskets pop into full un-checked adds, and Aly watches as the life meters on both the CW and Valindra dwindle! Aly is out of divinity so now its just run run run slide, run run run slide, No Heals! She has 3 more HOT pots left and she's truly out-PVP's don't work here! The CW goes down, Valindra's up, but Aly can literally NOT SEE LIFE on her meter! A new set of caskets is on the rise. No way can Aly get caught by anything more. She decides to try to kill that bitch herself! Run, Run, Run, Slide, Hot Pot, hits her Artifact and turns to face Valindra, one cast of Sacred flame and Valindra starts to fall, but so does Alyah! Aly calls out the "Oh shit" over the mic when her SOULFORGED ENCHANT POPS! Aly's back to life and with Valindra dying the adds disappear!
Valindra is DOWN! The Guardians have won! (epic cheers mates!)

Player Spotlight: Thowdran@Brunno - June 2017)
Thowdran is our Guild's very first level 70 character, but Thowdran, the sweet-talking halfling rogue has been around much longer than The Guardian.
Thowdran has been a part of Scott (@Brunno) since his pen and paper DND games in the mid-to-late 90s. A halfling with a lust for trouble (and rubies) it was Thowdran who caught the eye of a certain elf rogue Raeah (@LetiaRae) later. Thowdran has seen many different gaming platforms, DND 2E, EverQuest, World of Warcraft, and of course NeverWinter Online.
Scott has been gaming most of his life, becoming a part of the MMO world early in his college career. He has a love for playing and can lose hours in the game, his no-nonsense, no-drama style almost always guarantees that he'll silently lead our small guild forever-even if its not in NWO.

Player Spotlight: Thrash Zone (@pillowcaseface - October)
With the growth of the guild new positions become available and new needs arise. It was unanimously voted that Thrash Zone be promoted to our new Guild Treasurer. There were many words of encouragement for, and confidence inspired by Thrash, including but not limited to:
"He seems like he knows exactly what he is doing. And how to manipulate the games auction house and zen market, buying and selling too a T. I couldn't think of a better position for him." ~madhatta
No stranger to MMO's, Thrash has been playing since 1991, but he only joined the guild about a month ago. He has quickly shown his dedication to the game, to the guild, and of course to the auction house. He spends many a day playing the AH, running dungeons, and PVP, and has recently taken to teaching guildies how to best buy and sell. His patience and happy manner has earned him this spotlight, and the new title within the guild.
Thrash has three 60 characters, Biopsy, a TR, Mrs. Vaccination Shot, a DC, and of course Thrash Zone, a GWF who, though his most recent character, has become his main because he enjoys playing him so much. When asked what his goals for guild treasurer were he said:

Snoochieboochies. [I'll] um make $.
We can only hope.
Yes, but Aly, what is the Guild Treasurer?
The Guild Treasurer will be in charge of the guild bank, and would take some items from it to sell at top dollar and put back into the GB in either items or slots.
He will determine when its necessary to do events for AD, Gold, or Enchants, and either delegate to Alyah said events or plan them for the guild.

Player Spotlight: (August)
Gordacon surprised us all with his guild generosity in procuring us the second and the third repository for our guild bank and has earned the Player Spotlight.
Favorite Part of the Game: "So Far I like the Monsters, the people are cool too."
Why he chose a devoted cleric: He likes healing. His cousin introduced him to pen and paper D&D and he enjoyed the healing there, thought he'd try it in the game.
How long he's been playing: "First was Diablo 3, This is the first MMO I've really taken seriously." He was big on Mike Tyson's Punch out on Nintendo when he was younger.
